Position Descriptions

President

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the club, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with members, associations (i.e. MEBA), and the local community to promote the club and it's activies.
  • Oversee the club's operations, including financial management, event planning, and compliance with regulations. 
  • Chair committee meetings and any general meetings.

Vice President

  • Assist the president in providing strategic direction and leadership to the club, stepping in when the president is unavailable.
  • Act as liaison between the club's leadership and its members, addressing concerns and fostering a positive club environment.
  • Help plan and execute club events.
  • Manage general administrative tasks to support the committee.
  • Chair committee and general meetings in the absence of the president.

Secretary

Provides administrative and compliance support to the Club by:

  • Managing mandatory compliance reporting in accordance with the requirements of an Incorporated Association
  • Ensuring compliance with the Constitution through maintenance of a register of members and other associated activities
  • Maintaining active relevant subscriptions
  • Coordinating events and meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas and minutes

Treasurer

  • Oversee the club's finances, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring all financial obligations are met.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and manage invoicing and payments for club members.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, provide regular updates to the club committee on the financial status, and liaise with the bookkeeper for accurate financial management.

Registrar

  • Maintain accurate records of all club members, including registration details and contact information.
  • Oversee the collection of membership fees through PlayHQ.
  • Generate reports on membership statistics and provide insights to the club's leadership team.
  • Ensure all member registrations comply with relevant regulations and club policies.

Marketing / Communications Coordinator

  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans, including content creation.
  • Organise and promote club events and activities, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
  • Manage and grow the club's social media channels, creating engaging content and interacting with followers.

Junior and Senior Coordinators

  • Manage and communicate team selection for Summer and Winter seasons for relevant age groups.
  • Recruit and liaise with team coaches and managers, on general club and association matters (i.e. WhatsApp Groups, fill-in queries, basketball coaching support).
  • Club contact for new player queries within relevant age groups.
